Scheduling & Process

How soon can you schedule work?
Standard: 1-2 weeks. Emergency: within 2 hours. Storm season: may be longer for non-emergency. We'll give a clear timeline at estimate.
Do I need to be home during the work?
Not required, but we prefer someone available for questions. We'll confirm access, gate codes, and pet containment beforehand.
How long does a typical job take?
Pruning: few hours. Single tree removal: half day. Large crane removals: 1-2 days. Stump grinding: 30-60 minutes per stump. We communicate timeline clearly.
What happens to the wood and debris?
Standard: brush chipped/removed, logs cut to length and stacked. Options: haul all logs, leave for firewood, stump grinding. Discussed at estimate.
Will you damage my lawn/landscape?
We use turf protection mats, plywood paths, and careful equipment placement. Minor tire marks may occur but we restore disturbed areas. Property protection is our priority.

Emergencies & Storms

What qualifies as a tree emergency?
Tree on structure, blocking emergency access, on power lines, split trunk over target, uprooted leaning toward property, or any immediate safety hazard. Call 24/7: (706) 592-1082.
Do you charge extra for emergency service?
Emergency rates apply for after-hours/weekend/holiday dispatch. Pricing explained before dispatch. Many insurance policies cover emergency mitigation.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes. Detailed documentation: photos, arborist hazard reports, itemized invoices, direct adjuster communication. Most claims cover 100% of emergency mitigation.
What if it's 3 AM on a holiday?
We answer. 24/7/365 . Christmas, Thanksgiving, 3 AM Sunday. Emergency line is always monitored: (706) 592-1082.
Can you save a storm-damaged tree?
Sometimes. We assess: crown loss percentage, structural integrity, species resilience, and hazard level. If savable, we'll recommend cabling, pruning, or monitoring instead of removal.

Tree Health & Pruning

When is the best time to prune?
Most trees: late winter/early spring (dormant). Spring-flowering: after bloom. Dead/hazardous limbs: anytime. We assess each species for optimal timing.
What's the difference between pruning and trimming?
Pruning = targeted removal based on tree biology and structure (ANSI A300). Trimming = shaping without regard for health. We only provide professional pruning . never 'topping' or harmful practices.
How often should trees be pruned?
Mature: every 3-5 years. Young: every 1-2 years for structure. Fruit: annually. Custom schedules based on species, age, location.
Will pruning hurt my tree?
Proper pruning by ISA certified arborists improves tree health and longevity. We never remove >25% live crown/season (ANSI A300 standard). Improper pruning causes permanent damage.
Do you treat diseases and pests?
Yes. Plant Health Care programs: fertilization, soil care, pest/fungal treatments, emerald ash borer, cankerworm, growth regulators. Integrated approach.
